Phil Parkinson is poised to pull up the draw bridge on City’s squad.
Zavon Hines, who came on as a substitute in Saturday’s opening league loss at Gillingham, and teenager Carl McHugh took the tally to 11 signings.
And Parkinson admits that will probably be the lot – unless Ritchie Jones is more seriously injured than feared.
Jones missed the trip to Kent after twisting his ankle in training on Friday. And with skipper Ricky Ravenhill also sidelined, that leaves City stretched in central midfield.
But otherwise the Bantams boss is unlikely to push the club board for any further additions.
“We’ll have to look how bad Jonah is but otherwise that’s more or less it,” said Parkinson.
“The squad is looking good and anyone who was at Saturday’s game will see we’ve got some real quality there.
“The only downside is that we’ve got players like Andrew Davies, Nathan Doyle and Zavon who are going to take a while to really get up to speed. But we’ve just got to accept that.
“Davo has been a bit unlucky with injuries and the others haven’t had much football. We’ve got to make sure we make the proper calls and pick the players when they are right to play.”
Winger Hines showed some promising moments in the last half hour of City’s 3-1 defeat at the sweltering Priestfield Stadium and could have scored from one burst into the box.
Parkinson said: “Zavon has got that pace and ability to go past people. There’s a lot of raw material to work with and we’ll enjoy doing that with him.
“There were a lot of good aspects in our display in terms of dominating possession and some of the football we played. It was disappointing to come away with nothing.”
Nahki Wells came off the bench to score City’s penalty within four minutes and staked a strong claim for a start in tomorrow’s home clash with Fleetwood.
Parkinson had named an unchanged side but admitted the performances of subs Wells and Hines have given him plenty to think about.
He said: “Nahki came on and looked great. He got the penalty and stuck it away well and made a difference.
“I thought we started really well at Notts County last week and that system, with Alan (Connell) dropping off deep with the pace of Garry Thompson and Kyel Reid, was the right way to start the game.
“We’ll have a look at things again for Fleetwood and how well people have recovered from playing in that heat.”
