Albion Sports boss Kulwinder Sandhu has pulled off a massive coup by appointing Pav Singh as his number two.
The club are only in their second season on the football pyramid but they will benefit immensely from the addition to the coaching staff of Singh, a holder of the prized UEFA A coaching licence.
Singh is a local and needs no introduction after being involved at many levels with a whole host of clubs in the area.
He began his playing days as a schoolboy at Elland Road and currently works with the Leeds United Academy.
In between times there were spells at Farsley Celtic, Harrogate Town, Liversedge and coaching Bradford City youth teams.
Singh said: “Even when I played on Saturdays, I still played on Sundays for Albion, so me and the club go back a long way. This is a new challenge for me and one I hope will work out well for the club in the long term.
“I’m a big believer of getting kids in and bringing them on, developing them. Albion has always had a good youth set-up, with junior teams of all ages, and I want to make a pathway through to the first team for them.
“I hope some of them will go on and play higher up the leagues, which is fine from our point of view as long as we have that conveyor belt.
“It will be a different season for the club this year. I don’t think Kully (manager Sandhu) is expecting another fourth place after losing some players.
"There are only three or four left, but as long as we bring some youngsters through and lay some better foundations it will still be a satisfactory season.”
