The juniors’ competition was won for the first time by a female, Kayleigh Sugden, and the ladies’ event was won by first-time winner Dianne Higgins, wife of a former Rabbit captain.

In the Tigers event, the conditions were reflected in winner Martin Thomas’ 41 stableford points.

The main competition, the Rabbit Captain’s Day Cup, was won by long-term member John Hampson, who won his first major club event.

Second was Alan Perry and third Nick Muffitt and he is now is eligible to play in the club’s annual Masters competition.

After the presentation the members salsa’d the night away to local duo Mambo Jambo.
