Thoughts at Nethermoor will be more with injured Stuart Gray than on the visit of Grantham Town tomorrow after the Guiseley player suffered a career-threatening broken leg in midweek.
Guiseley took their winning run in all competitions to 11 games with a 2-0 win at North Ferriby United on Tuesday.
It should have been a good night as they moved second in the Premier Division, having just been named as club of the month for September. Gray's injury put a dampener on any thoughts of celebration.
"I spoke to Stuart's wife the day after and she said the operation had gone well," said boss Neil Parsley.
"It repaired a double compound fracture, both tibia and fibula. There will be an awful lot of rehab needed and, without wishing to sound too negative, I would say this season is a write-off for Stuart.
"The supporters of Guiseley and Ferriby were tremendous. They gave him a warm reception when he was taken off by the medics. Fans of both clubs and Ferriby officials asked me about it after the game and calls flooded in the following day.
"I have to say that it knocked the stuffing out of me and I have seen it all before. As a club, we will do what we can for Stuart and his family."
