James Hanson is likely to miss the whole of City's manic March after a scan confirmed a tear in his adductor muscle.
The striker could be sidelined for up to six weeks, which would rule him out of the hectic schedule coming up, although the club hope he might return in four.
Hanson suffered the groin injury just 14 minutes into the Bantams' 1-1 draw with Port Vale on Tuesday.
