Luke O'Brien's move to Exeter City is back on tonight, the T&A understands.
The way was cleared for the left back to make the switch after the Grecians sold defender Scott Golbourne to Barnsley.
Exeter had been keen to bring in O'Brien, who has been out of the picture with City, but were not in a financial position to do so unless they moved a player on.
Phil Parkinson had criticised the League One club for not being able to go through with the deal. But with Golbourne bound for Oakwell for an undisclosed sum, it opens the door for O'Brien to move south.
