Bradford City secured a place in the Women’s West Riding Cup semi-final with a 4-1 win over in-form West Riding Premier League leaders Harrogate Railway.
After a disappointing first half, City coach Steve Winterburn took a gamble with a triple substitution that almost backfired.
An injury left City one short for the last 20 minutes but goals from Caroline Omboyi, Bridie Hannon, Kerrie Szericki and Clare Fawcett had effectively sealed the tie.
Farsley will be City’s opponents in the last four while next up is a crucial Northern Combination clash with Salford, ahead of the WFA tie at Charlton, as they pursue honours on three fronts.
