Deane Smalley believes he can cash in again on his latest loan move.
The 23-year-old Oxford striker has joined City to the end of the season hoping to repeat his success from a similar short-term stay at Chesterfield last year.
Smalley netted 12 goals in five months with the promotion-bound Spireites – including the winner at the Bantams in February. Now he would love to do the same for Phil Parkinson’s side and kick-start a personal campaign that has been floundering.
“Going out on loan really worked for me at Chesterfield and it would be great to have the same kind of second half to the season again,” said Smalley.
“Hopefully I can prove my fitness to the gaffer, cement my place in the team and then the goals will come.
“You look at Bradford’s recent performances and they’ve been doing well. The month they’ve just had has given everyone massive confidence and hopefully I can be a part of that continuing.”
