Brighouse Town have come through their run of three games against title contenders in the Baris Northern Counties East League Premier Division with just one point but they will be looking for a maximum on Saturday.
Town are at home against Selby Town, who are rock bottom.
Selby have picked up just nine points from a possible 75 this season while their hosts have amassed 30 more and have played two games less.
Brighouse are still the top local side in the division, holding eighth place thanks to a four-game winning run before their three clashes against the top sides.
Thackley are second best of the local trio following a poor pre-Christmas spell and they have dropped to tenth.
They face a big test of their capabilities this weekend as they host Barton Town Old Boys, who are immediately above them in the table.
Barton have three games in hand on the Dennyboys but are just one point better off at the moment.
But the Dennyboys lost their second-top scorer this week when Nicky Matthews was snapped up by Bradford Park Avenue.
Liversedge may be only three places below Thackley but there is a ten-point gap between the rivals, and that could widen on Saturday as Sedge head to seventh- placed Parkgate.
In Division One, Albion Sports’ frustrations continue as they have no scheduled fixture this weekend, and their last four games have all fallen victim to the weather.
They remain in second place though and neighbours Eccleshill United could do both Albion and themselves a massive favour on Saturday when they go to leaders Pontefract Collieries.
The Eagles are seventh but still very much in the title race, despite trailing Brendan Ormsby’s side by ten points, because they have five games in hand.
Ian Banks' Eccleshill also have the upper hand this term as they won the reverse fixture 4-1, with Marcus Edwards (twice) Andy Fieldhouse and Craig Laight all on target.
