City have shelved their Christmas season-ticket campaign until they pull away from the relegation zone.
The club traditionally launch the scheme with an early-bird offer in December.
But director of operations David Baldwin today revealed that will not happen while the Bantams are third from bottom.
“We were ready to go with a campaign but we need to see a turn in results and positive momentum before offering a product for next year,” he said.
“People would feel they were being forced to buy because of the price, with the uncertainty of not knowing what’s happening. We want to take away that uncertainty of our league position first.”
A working party of fans have been involved with City in drawing up the prices for next season after sales dropped this term.
Baldwin said: “We’ve debated it for quite a while for something that will appeal to the whole broad market place. That’s in its final stages now.
“First and foremost people are going to come if results are going the right way. If we put them out now, we wouldn’t get the sales.
“I’m confident we’ll see a turn in fortunes and think we’re beginning to see the benefits of Phil Parkinson’s hard work.
“With that in mind, fans need to see some evidence first. Once forward steps are being made, we will launch a scheme.”
Fans can buy Christmas gift vouchers from the Valley Parade ticket office from Monday, December 12.
They will be available in various amounts and can be used towards the price of a season ticket.
