Liversedge face one of their toughest matches of the season on Saturday at Northern Counties East League Premier Division leaders Scarborough Athletic.
Mid-table Sedge trail their hosts by 15 points but will travel in good heart after an emphatic 4-0 win at home to Hall Road Rangers last time out in the league.
Thackley were beaten 5-0 at home by Boro – who have former Bantams striker Dean Windass among their ranks – but have not looked back since. They have been unbeaten in the five league games following that defeat in a run which has moved them up to fifth.
They should have faced a blank Saturday this weekend but hastily arranged a game at home to Lincoln Moorlands Railway, whom they drew 1-1 with last weekend in the reverse fixture.
Albion Sports are one of the quartet locked on 39 points at the summit of Division One, goal difference putting them in second spot.
They travel to mid-table Hallam fresh after their last two games were postponed.
Neighbours Eccleshill United could do Albion a favour at Worksop Parramore, who currently top the table.
Ian Banks’ side are well-placed themselves in eighth spot – just nine points off the summit and with up to six games in hand on teams above them.
With the Eagles poised to gain an extra three points from their abandoned game against Emley, victory tomorrow would see them in great shape to launch a strong promotion bid.
