Marcel Seip today warned that City’s scrap for league safety has got to get ugly.
The Dutchman played a significant part in Saturday’s hard-fought draw at Gillingham – the first point for a month.
Switched to an unconventional role at left back, Seip kicked one off the line at the end and stood firm under home pressure.
The defender insists that no-nonsense approach is the only way of making sure the Bantams pull away from trouble.
Seip said: “We didn’t back off at all. We challenged and competed for everything.
“The week before there was none of that (against Rotherham) but it’s the least you want.
“That’s what you need to do in this league, especially to get out from the bottom. You need to be more ugly.
“We did that in the Gillingham game but we still created chances as well.”
