City’s run in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy could land another award for Michael Flynn’s goal against Sheffield United.
The City skipper’s stunning strike during the victory at Bramall Lane has been shortlisted for the goal of the round prize.
The Bantams had already created history by winning the team of the round award for the second month in succession, with their victory over the Blades following on from knocking out Huddersfield Town.
This is the first time in the competition’s six-year history that a club have scooped back-to-back awards.
Now City fans can vote for Flynn’s goal to win the Ultimate Finish prize by visiting www.johnstonespainttrophy.com and clicking on the competition’s section of the website.
Next up is a trip to Oldham in the northern section semi-finals, with boss Phil Parkinson saying: “We might have to win the award a third time to get through to the area final.
“We are obviously delighted to win this award for a second time but we know that the tie with Oldham will be a tough one, although it is a game we will be looking forward to.”
City’s exploits in the JP Trophy have triggered a 40 per cent discount off assorted products. To claim, visit www.johnstonespainttrophy.com and download a ‘Just Rewards’ voucher book.
