Silsden boss Chris Reape will be hoping he has some key players back from injury for the journey to St Helens Town in the North West Counties League Premier Division on Saturday.
The Cobbydalers’ four-match unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in midweek when they were beaten 1-0 by Atherton LR, who moved off the bottom as a result of the victory.
Silsden spokesman Jim Rosser said: “We were beaten by the bottom of the league and they had only won two games before that. We did have a few out though, with Danny Bryan, Jake McEneaney and Andy Lee among five players who didn’t make it.
“Andy was a big loss because he has been in good form and we don’t score too many goals.”
Lee had scored in four of the Cobbydalers’ last five games, including the 4-4 draw at home to Runcorn Linnets, when he picked up his groin injury.
Silsden will be confident of returning to winning ways against struggling St Helens if Reape gets a positive response from his squad.
The Merseyside outfit have played more games than any of the bottom six clubs in the division but are only just above the drop zone.
