Liversedge seem to play one of their mid-table rivals every week in the Baris Northern Counties East League Premier Division and Saturday is no different as they host Hall Road Rangers, the club immediately below them.
Sedge are currently 11th and could go ninth with a win. They are the only one of the three local sides in the top flight to have home advantage and manager Billy Miller picks from strength apart from one key absence.
He said: “The only main injury we have had is Brook Newton, who will be out for the rest of the season with ongoing knee problems.
“Apart from that we have been lucky with the squad, which I believe is as good as the one me and Sean (Regan) had the year before last when we finished ninth.
“However, having said that, Brook is a massive loss because he is a great player.”
Thackley are the highest placed of the Bradford trio, in sixth spot, and they have the chance to improve on that at Lincoln Moorlands Railway.
The home side are a lowly 17th, while Vince Brockie’s men are still in the promotion-chasing pack despite coming through a tough run of games against top sides.
Brighouse Town shook off the cobwebs following a nine-day period of inactivity to register a fine draw at Staveley MW in midweek. That result left Town in eighth place and in good heart for their trip to struggling Pickering Town.
In Division One, Albion Sports have the chance to grasp the outright lead at the summit.
They only trail leaders Worksop Parramore on goal difference ahead of their home game with Glasshoughton Welfare at Horsfall Stadium, while Parramore are without a league fixture.
It will be the second time in four days that Albion have entertained Glasshoughton.
Kulwinder Sandhu’s men won the Division One cup tie between the sides 4-0 on Wednesday night and will be hoping it gives them the psychological edge for the rematch against their fifth-placed visitors.
Ninth-placed Eccleshill United are looking to improve their promotion chances with a win against Askern Villa this weekend. Having played the fewest number of games in the division, there is plenty of scope for the Eagles to climb.
Villa have banked just less than half of the Eagles’ 27-point total and have played two games more.
