Bradford took advantage of another slip by Spen Valley League pacesetters Jardy Boys as victory at Thornhill United Seniors lifted them level on points at the top of the PREMIER DIVISION table.
John Singh scored twice and Itfaq Hussain grabbed the other goal as Bradford won 3-0, while Jardy Boys had to settle for a second successive draw.
After the previous week’s 4-4 goalfest against Girlington, this time lowly Quarry held them 1-1 after leading at half-time through Paul Egan.
Richard McCann netted the Jardys equaliser but it was not enough to prevent Quarry climbing off the foot of the table.
They are replaced at the bottom by Mount Athletic, who led TVR United 2-0 with 15 minutes to go only to lose 5-2.
TVR climbed to third place, a point behind the joint-leaders, as goals by Abid Khan (2), Nassar Hussain, Junaid Taj and Ibrahim Khan wiped out Samman’s double for the hosts.
BD3 United slipped two places to fourth after a 1-1 home draw against Girlington, for whom Usman Hussain cancelled out Tashad Toseef’s opener.
Fairbank edged out Ravensthorpe Rangers 1-0 thanks to a Rizwan Mir goal, Rangers having been reduced to ten men in the second half due to injury.
DIVISION ONE leaders Vision swamped second-bottom Inter Batley 9-2 as debutant Liam Shields scored a hat-trick.
Chris Lever (2), Michael Roebuck (2), Fernand Cissa and Jonathan Niland completed the rout, with Rizwan Basser and Zakariya Daji replying.
Second-placed Oakwell kept up the pressure with a 4-1 win against ALC, who are fourth. Ashley Barnes (2), Tom Yarnold and Rafal Siudak outscored Ryan Mitchell.
Howden Clough remain third after edging out Savile United 2-1, Gary Woods and Phil Crossland outweighing Faisal Adam.
Dave Hodgson’s goal earned a 1-0 win for Ravenswharfe Hotel over fellow strugglers Thornhill United Seniors B.
