West Riding County Amateur League teams will occupy all four semi-final places in the BRADFORD & DISTRICT FA SATURDAY SENIOR CUP.

Campion, Tyersal and Wibsey all won quarter-finals against opposition from other leagues to secure their passage.

And they will be joined by either Salts or Campion Reserves, who won second-round ties to set up a head-to-head clash next month.

West Bradford Spartans’ bid to reach the last four was thwarted by Wibsey, who won 2-1 thanks to first-half strikes by Jamie Brennan and James Crossland.

Sam Prest replied for the Spen Valley League hosts but they could not find an equaliser to force extra time.

Tyersal had enough chances to win their home tie against St Bede’s Old Boys by a bigger margin than the 3-2 score they managed.

Early opportunities were created but wasted before Andy Bailey (2) and Glynn Beale gave Tyersal a 3-0 interval lead, The Old Boys hit back through goals by Ricky Walton and Dave Scott to leave their hosts hanging on. Campion fell behind at home to West Yorkshire League side Old Headingley before winning 3-1.

Paul Kempton’s opener was cancelled when James Nestor headed home from Andy Benjamin’s cross. Further goals by Nestor and Benjamin then sealed the victory.

Division Two underdogs Campion Reserves will have home advantage against Salts in the last eight after winning 3-2 at Division One side Dudley Hill Rangers thanks to Chris Hellewell’s hat-trick. Paul Licence and Ryan Starr replied.

Salts won by the same score at fellow Division One side Husworth as Kyle Berry (2) and Joe Pleasance outscored Dale Padgett (2).

* A restricted West Riding County Amateur League programme saw Albion Sports move to within two points of DIVISION TWO leaders Huddersfield YMCA with a 6-1 success at Golcar United Reserves.

Chris Gibbons netted twice to add to other goals from Jatinder Singh, Ryan Basi, Sam Morton and Ajula Basi.

West Horton and visiting Tyersal Reserves shared four goals, with Damian Greenwood’s double for the hosts cancelled out by Jamie McEwen and Paul Hague.
