Silsden 4 Runcorn Linnets 4
The Cobbydalers’ run of three league wins on the bounce came to an end against mid-table rivals Runcorn in an eight-goal thriller at the ASDA Foundation Stadium.
Silsden took an early lead and were 4-2 up at one point but could not force that advantage home against a battling Linnets side.
Danny Husband found himself with a free header from a first-minute corner as he broke the deadlock, although the visitors responded through Rob Whyte after just 11 minutes.
A crisp passing move and superb 20-yard shot from Sean Pearson then edged Runcorn in front.
A goal from Andy Lee and a strike from Danny Bryan, on the stroke of half-time, saw the home side in front at the break.
When Joe Gaughan netted in the second minute of the second half, the Cobbydalers looked to be cruising.
The Linnets came back though as Matthew Atherton made it 4-3 in the 65th minute before Danny Smith hit a deserved equaliser nine minutes from time.
