Phil Parkinson is eyeing the potential windfall of a good run in the FA Cup.
The City chief was delighted to see another home tie pulled out in round two – either Scunthorpe or AFC Wimbledon will visit Valley Parade on Saturday, December 3.
And he hopes his side’s good cup form can help produce some lucrative results.
Parkinson said: “To get another home draw is great for us. And all of a sudden the third round comes into view when the big clubs come in, which is very exciting for everybody connected with the club.
“Every penny we make from the cups is valued by the two chairmen. It is much needed.
“We go out to win every game and the cups are no different but obviously the financial side is very important.”
City will review their price structure for that game after just 3,579 fans saw them beat Rochdale.
Head of operations David Baldwin said: “The prices have to be agreed between the two clubs but it is something we will be discussing in due course.
“The Rochdale crowd was somewhere close to expectations but those who were there will remember a very special goal.”
