There is a very busy night of football tomorrow night with seven of the local semi-pro clubs involved in the first round of the West Riding County Cup.
Guiseley are not just the holders but also the highest-placed club in the competition. Steve Kittrick’s men have home advantage over Tadcaster Albion but any hopes the visitors had of facing a weakened side may have been dashed as the Lions had a blank weekend and will have many first team regulars needing game time.
Last season’s beaten finalists Thackley also have home advantage for the first hurdle but they face a club from their own division with Baris NCEL Premier rivals Armthorpe Welfare making the journey to Dennyfield.
Brighouse Town are the only other local club with a home draw. They host Pontefract Collieries, which leaves four clubs on the road.
Farsley AFC travel to Ossett Town while Eccleshill United have the longest journey as they visit Goole AFC.
Liversedge and Silsden make the short trip to Leeds to face Yorkshire Amateur and Garforth Town respectively.
