Phil Parkinson is set to let Craig Fagan off the leash as City try to send their poor run for a Burton.
Fagan is in line to make his first start for 12 months at the Pirelli Stadium tomorrow.
Given the 28-year-old’s recent injury history and lack of football, Parkinson has treated him carefully since joining the club a fortnight ago.
But after two substitute outings and another full week’s training, Fagan is in line to fill the gap left by the sidelined Jamie Devitt.
Parkinson said: “Craig’s pushing himself forward to get a starting berth.
“When he came on against Crawley, he’d only trained two days since early pre-season. Since then he’s had two weeks. So obviously he’s so much further ahead of where he was when he first arrived.”
Parkinson should also hand a debut to midfielder Adam Reed, who signed yesterday on a month’s youth loan from Sunderland.
