Phil Parkinson is targeting an October-fest of points to pull City clear of League Two’s basement.
Parkinson believes the next five matches offer the chance to gain some momentum after a troubled start to the season.
The Bantams boss is still waiting for his first win in charge and has seen the side lose their last three to slip to third from bottom.
But he is confident the more favourable outlook of next month’s fixtures gives them a good opportunity to regain some ground.
City head to injury and suspension-hit Burton on Saturday and then face Torquay, Hereford, Northampton and Macclesfield before ending October with a tricky trip to Swindon.
Parkinson said: “I always knew when I came in for the (job) interview and looked at the fixtures that we’d have a tough run of games to start with, though I was still expecting more points on the board than we’ve got.
“But the next batch of games isn’t as challenging and I also think we will get fitter and stronger as we go along.”
