Farsley exacted their revenge on Durham City with a 1-0 win but it was not the three points they lost up in the north-east that they regained.
Last night’s narrow win saw them progress in the Doodson Sports Evo-Stik League Cup, just a fortnight after Farsley lost by the same scoreline in the Division One clash at Durham.
The only goal of the game came after just 24 seconds. A Ryan Watson shot from the edge of the area looked to be heading just wide of the target before former Bantams striker Gareth Grant stuck out a leg and diverted it in.
Durham battled well but went down to ten men in the 53rd minute after Craig Harbord lunged in with two feet.
