Worksop Parramore 1 Albion Sports 2
Understrength Albion Sports recorded a terrific victory against current leaders and title favourites Worksop to move up to fourth in Northern Counties East League Division One.
Following a goalless first half, Albion broke the deadlock seven minutes after the interval with a penalty. Jordan Missin had been brought down in the area and he got up to net from the spot.
The home side hit back late in the second half through Lee Thompson but the visitors were not to be denied their maximum and Tony Vento struck the winner three minutes from time.
Albion boss Kulwinder Sandhu said: “It was a great result for us and I’m chuffed to bits, not least because we got the win with the team we had. We had a lot of big players out but the ones who have come in were up to the job.”
