Long Eaton United 2 Eccleshill United 1
Eccleshill slipped to their first defeat since the opening day of the season in the Northern Counties East Premier Division last night.
The match kicked off late because the Bradford side arrived late at their Derbyshire hosts' ground due to traffic problems.
Whether that affected the players adversely is unclear, the only certainty being that United's four-game unbeaten run was ended.
Scott Downey netted after only eight minutes for Long Eaton and Julian Wright's strike just after the hour was decisive.
