Bridlington Town 0 Bradford Park Avenue 1
Another monumental effort was needed by Avenue to overcome a hard-working outfit but a Tom Greaves goal midway through the first half ensured Avenue logged back-to-back victories.
Greaves profited from loan signing Lee Morris's vision as the forward played a superb through ball for his strike partner to run on to and dispatch with a low drive.
After beating West Yorkshire rivals Wakefield 1-0 on Saturday, last night was another narrow win but also a deserved and crucial one as it keeps Avenue at the higher end of UniBond Division One.
Veteran midfielder Neil Redfearn played a second game as a stand-in centre back and said: "Bridlington impressed me in a competitive game.
"I was asked to play alongside Gary Shaw at the heart of defence and tried to use my experience.
"We had a game plan and were well organised. Two clean sheets on the trot speaks for itself. We are a hard side to beat."
