Thackley will be holding their presentation night at the clubhouse at Dennyfield on Saturday.
Dennyboys secretary Mick Lodge said: “We decided to hold the awards evening on the 28th because it fitted in with everything else going on around the club. It just turned out to be the same night as the Champions League final.
“So we thought we would combine the two – have the presentations starting from 6pm and then show the game on the big screen. You never know, some of the skill might rub off onto our lads!”
Thackley have been working around the interviews they have been holding to replace Dave Morgan. The manager enjoyed two promising seasons in the hot-seat but was forced to step down at the end of last season because of work commitments.
The club are hoping to announce a replacement soon and have kept the squad – which include Morgan’s sons Rob and Matt – fully up to date.
Lodge added: “We feel it is important to include the players and, obviously, they are keen to find out who replaces Dave and if whoever it is brings in new faces on the playing front.”
