West Bowling have been crowned Premier Division champions of the Bradford Sunday Alliance League for the second successive season.
However, this time they did not leave it to the final game of the season.
Bowling had led the table for most of the campaign and only Buttershaw White Star had any chance of catching them on the run-in.
But with Bowling sharing the points at Buttershaw, this virtually handed them the title and they did not slip up on the home straight.
Added to the Premier title, West Bowling retained the “big one” - the West Riding County FA Sunday Cup.
In a hard-fought final, they beat Redoubt 2-1 after the Wakefield team had beaten Buttershaw White Star in the semi-final.
And Bowling crowned their season in style by beating White Star in extra time after one of the best League Cup finals for many years.
Westwood Park had a good first season in top-flight football and reached the final of the Bradford & District FA Sunday Cup, only to beaten by Ventus Sports.
Relay Recruitment Rovers were also in the upper reaches of the Premier Division for the majority of the season.
Division One champions Mill Lane led the table all season and, despite stuttering on the run-in with defeats to White Eagles and Wyke Wanderers, they recovered to win the title and ensure themselves of Premier Division football next season.
Wyke Wanderers also make the jump into the top flight, and I am sure that both will strengthen the Premier Division.
Mill Lane also reached the semi-finals of the League Cup and were only narrowly defeated by the eventual winners.
Ventus United won the Wharfedale & District FA Sunday Cup, beating Yeadon Veterans in the final at Guiseley to give the Alliance League district cup crowns in three areas.
Thornton United and Tyersal Sunday were the top two in Division 1A, with Thornton's 2-1 defeat of Tyersal near the end of the campaign being the deciding factor.
Buttershaw Celtic had pushed hard at the top of the table for most of the season but unfortunately fell away late on.
Sandy Lane were never under any pressure as they secured the Division 1B title with ease, and they also added the Keighley & District FA Sunday Cup by beating Division One Oakworth in an entertaining if not ill-tempered cup final at Cougar Park.
Dudley Hill Rangers Reserves finished in second position.
Stanningley Albion didn't drop a point in winning Division 2A, and Undercliffe finished second, pipping Dudley Hill Athletic by a point.
