City this afternoon made prolific non-league striker Ross Hannah their first capture of the summer.
The 23-year-old scored a phenomenal 52 goals last season with Matlock Town in the Evo-Stick League.
Hannah has signed a one-year deal with a further option with the club. City beat off strong competition to land him.
Peter Jackson said: "I think he was top scorer in the whole country. To score 52 goals in a team that finished in the middle of their league is an amazing achievement.
"He's had a lot of interest and spoke to six league clubs, including some of the Championship. But he's picked us and I'm delighted with it.
"If he scores half as many goals next season we'll be happy. Everyone knows that's where we've struggled this season."
Hannah said: "It's a massive step up but I've got faith in my ability."
