An early try from stand-off Todd Carter was only a brief respite as West Bowling fell to their heaviest defeat of the season at Egremont Rangers.
Patched-up Bowling were blasted out of the game by a Rangers side who only required a point to gain promotion to National Conference Division One.
The hosts established a 28-4 lead by the interval, leaving West’s an impossible task in their last outing of the campaign and they ended the game on the wrong end of a 66-4 drubbing.
