New Mills 3, Silsden 0
Silsden suffered defeat on the final day of the season in the Vodkat North West Counties League Premier Division to the side that had already been crowned champions and gained promotion to the Evo-Stik League.
Yesterday’s win meant New Mills ended with an 11- point cushion at the summit, and their opening goal against Silsden was their 100th of the campaign.
They did not have to wait too long to get it as Harry Noone steered a header past Cobbydalers’ keeper Martin Foulger in the eighth minute.
The New Mills skipper Carlos Meakin scored with a 35-yard effort that took a deflection on its way before dipping under Foulger’s bar, and completed the scoring when he netted from close range two minutes from time.
