West Bowling have regained their West Riding County FA Sunday Cup when a brace of goals in five minutes from defender Carl Horsman sank Redoubt FC from Wakefield 2-1.
It was the first leg of a possible treble for Bowling, who have a Bradford Sunday Alliance League Cup final this weekend and could well win the Premier Division crown a week on Sunday.
West Bowling, who last won the County Cup in 2005, needed two good saves from keeper Ash Onitiri to stop Redoubt from taking an early lead.
The Wakefield team did have the ball in the net after ten minutes but the referee had already blown for a foul on Onitiri.
Just after the half-hour, Redoubt did take the lead when Onitiri failed to gather a cross and Michael Wales slotted the ball home.
Bowling also had chances but Redoubt keeper John Davis was equal to anything the Bowling forwards tested him with.
At the start of the second half, the Bradford team applied pressure and gained the upper hand.
After 55 minutes, Horsman headed home his first goal from a set-piece, and five minutes later he fired home from inside the area after another set-piece.
Redoubt came back strongly and only sterling defence from Cory Larvin and Simon Speight, who broke up most attacks in midfield, kept them at bay.
West Bowling will be hoping to add another trophy to their bulging collection on Sunday when they play Buttershaw White Star in the League Cup final at Manningham Mills (2.15pm).
These two teams have been neck and neck in the race for the title but if Bowling beat already-relegated Oakenshaw a week on Sunday, the end-of-season showdown between the big two will be an anti-climax because the County champions will have already retained their trophy.
There are a sprinkling of league matches on Sunday morning but the majority of the divisions have already crowned their respective champions.
In the Premier Division, Queensbury entertain Dudley Hill Rangers, and Relay Recruitment will be hoping for the points at Baildon to help them reach third place.
In the First Division, Oakworth have Wyke Wanderers as opponents and will be hoping for a stern test as they prepare for their District Cup final next weekend at Cougar Park.
Sandy Lane, who are also in the Keighley & District FA Sunday Cup final, warm up by entertaining Ravenscliffe in Division 1B.
