Fulford’s Jamie Miller is returning to defend the prestigious Hawksworth Trophy, a 36-hole strokeplay competition for the leading amateurs throughout the North of England, at Bradford Golf Club on Saturday.
This exclusive event, celebrating its 40th anniversary, is one of the major competitions in the Bradford golfing calendar and, as a round of the Yorkshire Order of Merit, it always attracts a top-class field, with last year’s handicap cut being made at 2.3.
Miller shot a two-round gross score of six-under-par (136) to win last year’s event.
