Peter Jackson has welcomed Lewis Hunt back into the City fold, insisting: He’s not the bad guy.
The defender returned in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Burton, taking him up to 20 appearances and triggering another year on his contract.
Hunt had been blocked from playing the previous two games against Torquay and Southend because the Bantams wanted him to remove the clause which guaranteed him the same pay deal for next season.
But the club relented after leaking seven goals in successive heavy defeats without a recognised right back.
Jackson said: “He’s handled himself with a lot of dignity. Lewis has moved all his family up into the area and he wants to do well for Bradford City.
“He shouldn’t be made out to be the bad guy. Circumstances led to this."
