Relieved Peter Jackson celebrated with an ice bath after City edged a point closer to League Two safety.
Jake Speight’s second-half equaliser rescued a 1-1 draw in last night’s relegation battle with Burton at a tense Valley Parade.
The point puts the Bantams seven clear of the second relegation spot with only four games to go.
Jackson admitted: “It’s a big relief because it was such a high-pressure game.
“The players showed a bit of character to come back after going one down. We could have won it in the end but just as easily got beaten as well.
“I’m just delighted we got that point. It was so critical we didn’t get beaten.
“I had to go for a cool-down with the players after the game. I had to get in an ice bath!”
Omar Daley made his first City appearance since February 1 and earned a pat on the back from the interim boss.
Jackson said: “Omar’s performance has given everybody hope. It was a good night for the club.
“It would have been nice to get the three points to get to 50 and we still might need another couple.
“But Barnet have to win three out of the remaining four to get anywhere near us and they’ve got a tough run-in.
“It would have been fantastic to seal it with such a big crowd behind us.
“But I’m confident of going to Accrington on Saturday and getting something – and I do believe we will win a game before the end of the season.”
City decided to include right back Lewis Hunt again and his 20th appearance for the club has automatically triggered another contract for next season.
Meanwhile, injury-jinxed Simon Ramsden will find out today whether he has a chance of featuring in the run-in.
