It’s that time of year again.

The Easter period is upon us and it could be massively important to our chances this year.

We need to get a few wins under our belt to set ourselves up for the rest of the season because the next few weeks should see teams start to separate.

Last year we won three of four over Easter, drawing the other, and although the season didn’t work out in the end, we were fifth before injuries hit.

It’s all about keeping as many of the squad on the pitch as possible, so everyone should be on lockdown now.

You might enjoy a couple of beers after the game but all that has to go out of the window and every player needs to work hard to keep themselves in top condition.

I also have to give a mention to Tom Olbison this week after he signed his new deal.

I’m sure most people have already heard about it because we certainly have.

He hasn’t shut up about it since signing the deal and had been walking round with an envelope all week. We’re sure it’s got a copy of his contract in it just so he can show anyone who asks.

He’s now Mr Bradford Bulls and claims to be the greatest ginger to have played the game, which is quite a bold statement.

Lynchy and Geoff Evans have been recruited as his personal chaffeurs and they’re expected to take him to and from training every day.

But, on a serious note, it’s well deserved and he’s got to be one of the top prospects in the competition.

He’s a hard-working lad who’s impressed me since coming in a few years back and it’s good the club have been able to tie him up.

Platty’s also signed a new deal and that’s more good news for the club. He’s worked hard and come back into form recently, so it’s good to see players like him signing up.
