James Hanson is losing his fitness fight to face Southend.
And Kevin Ellison is also struggling to make tomorrow night’s trip to Roots Hall.
With a hectic Easter period approaching, Peter Jackson is unwilling to take a chance on either injured player.
Jackson said: “Hanson has probably got a better chance of making Tuesday’s game (against Burton) and it could also be too soon for Kevin with his thigh.
“We’ve got a lot of games coming up so we have to be careful."
