Liversedge 0 Farsley 1 (aet)
The Northern Counties East League Cup quarter-final derby at Clayborn tonight went the distance as unfancied hosts Liversedge took Premier Division leaders Farsley to extra-time after the regulation 90 minutes failed to produce a goal.
That was despite a 15th-minute penalty for the visitors when Lewis Nightingale was brought down in the area. He took the spot-kick himself but home keeper Lee Ashforth saved it.
Sedge went close with a shot in the last minute of the first period of extra-time before a 20-yard strike from Ryan Watson in the 118th minute took Farsley through to the semi-finals and prevented the nail-biting tension of a penalty shoot-out.
