A midweek victory saw Farsley haul themselves back to the top of the Kool Sport Northern Counties East League Premier Division and they will stay there if they maximise home advantage on Saturday.
Farsley have the added incentive of being the first side to break through the 50-point barrier if they beat struggling Hall Road Rangers. The visitors are a lowly 16th and average less than a point per game.
LIVERSEDGE also had a good result on Tuesday night with a draw that lifted them out of the relegation places. They, like Farsley, also have home advantage this weekend but face a much stiffer task.
Heading for Clayborn are Nostell MW, who are sixth – just two places above Brighouse Town, who were held there by Sedge in midweek. That 2-2 draw was enough for Sedge to hoist themselves out of the bottom two on goal difference.
BRIGHOUSE will be hoping Sedge can take points off Nostell as well but will have to focus fully on their own game. Town are ninth and head to eighth-placed Winterton Rangers, who were Farsley’s 2-0 midweek victims.
Those two are themselves separated by goal difference only as they share 32 points, with Winterton having three games in hand.
Town go in search of the win and hope neighbours Sedge do them a favour which would see Mark Brier’s men move up at least three places.
THACKLEY are also on the road as they look to get back in action following a blank Saturday and a free midweek.
The Dennyboys go to Lincoln Moorlands Railway needing a positive result. They are two points below their 11th-placed hosts, so need a win to climb above them.
In Division One, ECCLESHILL UNITED have been in good form recently but know they will have to be at their best if they are to extend their three-game unbeaten run. They travel to Handsworth, who are a point above the seventh-placed visitors.
