Leeds United midfielder Ramon Nunez returns from the Copa Centroamerica Tournament later this week after being named the competition's most valuable player.
Nunez, 25, joined United in the summer after a month's trial, and his short-term contract was later extended until the end of the season, with United holding an option to keep him for an extra year. He has made just two substitute appearances for the club.
Nunez scored two goals in the group stage of the tournament, missed the semi-final through injury and returned for the final in which Honduras defeated six-times winners Costa Rica 2-1 to win the competition for the third time. He has dedicated his award to the people of Honduras.
Leeds manager Simon Grayson said: "We have seen enough technical ability in Ramon to justify taking a longer look at him, which is why we extended his deal until the end of the season."
