Rossington Main 2 Eccleshill United 2
The Eagles turned this Division One game around to earn a point after going into the half-time break 2-0 down.
Rossington opened the scoring just before the half-hour mark through Bradley Billam and doubled their advantage when Liam Charlton scored ten minutes later.
The comeback started early in the second half, with Declan Corby bursting through from the kick-off before shooting home.
The Eagles earned their draw 14 minutes from time, with Marcus Edwards latching on to a through ball and beating the keeper with a well-placed drive.
Eagles secretary Brian Bell said: “I timed Declan’s goal at nine seconds into the second half. He raced forward and the defence just backed off him, so he tried a lob and it sailed in.
“We are quite happy with a draw because it was a fair result. We forced a lot of late corners but they had chances too.
“It was disappointing that the referee booked six of their players and two of ours because it wasn’t that sort of game.”
