It was a combined away day for local clubs in the Kool Sport Northern Counties East League and there was a mixed bag of results for the travellers.
BRIGHOUSE TOWN came away from their top-six clash at Bridlington Town with a valuable Premier Division point.
The visitors took the lead when Nicky Boshell netted a penalty midway through the first half but the hosts equalised through Tom Fleming just after the hour.
Thackley took the lead at Winterton Rangers but were beaten 2-1.
Harry Thompson headed them in front when he converted Tom Higman’s tenth-minute cross.
But Danny Barlow levelled six minutes later and Winterton took all three points when Liam Wilkin scored just after the hour.
Thackley spokesman Mick Lodge said: “Harry Thompson won’t get many headers – his nickname is ‘Mini’ – but I’m glad he got that one.
“He deserved it because he was on fire. Everything we did on the day that was good came through him.”
LIVERSEDGE remain at the foot of the table after another defeat but they came within seven minutes of gaining a point at Pickering Town, who edged it 3-2.
Brook Newton fired Sedge in front after 11 minutes but Town led by the break following goals from Billy Logan and Nathan Cook, who struck from the halfway line after spotting keeper Mark Bower off his line.
Darryl Leach converted a Rob Boardman corner with a well-placed header to equalise just before the hour but Tom Adams snatched Town’s late winner.
The best result came in Division One as ECCLESHILL UNITED won 4-1 at struggling Appleby Frodingham.
They achieved it under assistant manager Grant Crooks as boss Ian Banks, the former Bantams player and number two to Nicky Law, was on holiday.
Crooks’ team even had to come from a goal down after Sean Dalton broke the deadlock in the fifth minute.
Marcus Edwards levelled, Declan Corby put the Eagles ahead and Edwards added his second before half-time. Andy Fieldhouse added the final goal in the last minute of the game.
