The stakes are high for Silsden on Saturday as they travel to the Lancashire coast to take on Formby in a bottom-four Vodkat Premier Division clash.
The Cobbydalers are one place above their hosts with two more points but the home side have a game in hand.
Silsden manager Chris Reape said: “This is definitely one of those games when it is important not to lose but we will be going to Formby looking for all three points.
“It is similar in that respect to our last game at Rossendale United. We drew that 1-1 but I thought we edged the game.
“We had a goal ruled out, and for me it was a perfectly-good goal, but at least we got a point and that stopped the rot.
“It meant they (Rossendale) didn’t close the gap on us, so this game is another six-pointer.
“I’m also hoping we only have one change to the starting line-up but we do have five players out.
“Our game last Saturday was postponed – another one – but some of those players would have missed that as well.
“It should mean that Sam Heap, who is unavailable on Saturday, will be the only difference to the side that went out at Rossendale.
“It was a positive performance there and there was good morale back in the camp. I’m quite pleased with things at the moment but we still need to get a little unbeaten run going.”
