Just three games survived the latest snowfall – with another starting but not finishing – as the Spen Valley League looked to get back on track after six weeks of inactivity.
Fairbank hammered Inter Batley 12-1 on New Year’s Day to go top of Division One but otherwise the weather has been the only winner during the unscheduled winter break.

A thrilling Premier Division encounter saw Thornhill beat Ravensthorpe Rangers by the odd goal in nine.
Tristan Kennedy’s double was backed up by one goal apiece from Aron Kennedy, Tom Hirst and Craig Hampshire for Thornhill, who led 3-1 at half-time.
Ravensthorpe’s replies came from Fessy (2), Kapi and a long-range special by Mamadou.
In Division One, Inter Batley bounced back from their New Year’s Day mauling to beat Norfolk 4-1.
Arshad Navsarka, Fateh Laher and Sahail Barber were among the Inter scorers, with substitute Ilyas Lunat responding for Norfolk.
The game between Wellington and Oakwell was abandoned after 37 minutes, while Ring o’ Bells were unable to play due to their county suspension.
