The unscheduled winter break did Farsley no favours as their poor run of results in the Kool Sport Northern Counties East League Premier Division continued tonight.
The Throstle Nest outfit were still top of the pile, despite losing three of their last four league games, but they slipped to a 2-0 home defeat in their derby against Thackley.
Farsley were in charge throughout the goalless first half but their failure to capitalise on chances created cost them dearly.
The visitors took the lead just three minutes after the interval when a Tom Higman free-kick was headed on for Shaun Airey to shoot home.
The points were heading back with the Dennyboys after they doubled their advantage in the 73rd minute.
A quick break down the left flank and cross by Luke Richardson was converted by Matt Morgan.
