There was cup woe for Wibsey after they crashed 4-0 at home to Bay Athletic in the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division Cup yesterday.
Paul Pike, Brighton Mugadza, Sam Jerome and Kitson Gayle scored to give the league leaders a second-round game at Albion Sports later this month.
Marsden took the honours in the all-Huddersfield tie against Golcar United. Jason Battye grabbed a hat-trick and Jonathon Newiss also registered in a 4-3 home win, Callum Meade (2) and Dean Wharam replying for the visitors.
Storthes Hall took the points in their Premier Division game at Ovenden West Riding, with Tom Mathews, Peter Jowett and Alistair Townsley scoring in a 3-1 triumph, while Robbie Graham netted Ovenden’s consolation.
Lower Hopton were stretched to the limit in their West Riding County FA Challenge Cup round-three tie against West Yorkshire League side Brighouse Old Boys.
They needed a Liam Coughlin penalty in extra-time to seal a 2-1 victory after Paul Ashwell had earlier netted for the Mirfield side, with Glen Lee equalising for the Old Boys.
