Rossendale United 1, Silsden 1
Missed chances denied Silsden a much-needed victory in this relegation battle with second-bottom Premier Division rivals Rossendale.
The Lancashire outfit are struggling on and off the field but hit back from a goal down to earn a point.
The Cobbydalers had opened the scoring just before half-time. The home defence had cleared shots from substitute Sam Heap and Alex Mugan but the loose ball fell to Nicky McNally, who slotted home.
Silsden had chances to double their lead in the second half but paid the price for being wasteful when Grant McElroy snatched a 69th-minute equaliser.
Tomorrow night should see Farsley and Thackley back in action as the local rivals have a rearranged Kool Sport Northern Counties East League Premier Division fixture at Throstle Nest.
The game was one of a full programme in the league’s two-division format to suffer postponement on Monday, December 27.
The last time either club played was Tuesday, December 14 but they were West Riding County Cup ties. Neither have contested a league fixture since late November.
