Silsden are hoping to be in action for the first time since their grand opening tomorrow when they make the short tip to Rossendale United in the Vodkat North West Counties League Premier Division.
The last time the Cobbydalers battled for points was December 11 when they officially opened their ASDA Foundation Stadium.
That was against tomorrow's opposition’s near- neighbours Bacup Borough and it ended in a 3-0 defeat.
That loss for the Cobbdalers means tomorrow's clash is a bottom-four relegation battle.
Silsden are 19th in the 22-strong division with 18 points from 19 league starts, while Rossendale are second bottom, seven points worse off, though they do have a game in hand.
The Lancashire outfit confirmed Paul Colgan as their permanent manager on New Year’s Eve.
He was caretaker and they had promised him until the end of the year to prove to them he was the right man for the job.
The results are yet to come but the club have been impressed by his rebuilding of the squad during the impromptu winter shutdown.
