Cheltenham are "really confident" of staging tomorrow's game with City.
A group of club staff and fans are currently clearing snow off the covers at Whaddon Road before the pitch can be inspected.
But with the temperature rising - and not expected to dip below two degrees centigrade overnight - Cheltenham believe the show will go on against the Bantams.
Chairman Paul Baker is among those working to remove the snow.
He said: "There are about 20-25 supporters with us here and we are doing a fantastic job.
"Slowly but surely we are beginning to look at some grass. The pitch is looking okay and we are really confident.
"Terry Roberts (the Cheltenham groundsman) is confident the pitch will be fine.
"There's give when you put your heel in and we are hopeful that that will be the case all over."
City have seen three of their last four games postponed, including Boxing Day's home meeting with leaders Chesterfield.
They have played only once in December.
