A third successive wipeout of the Bradford Sunday Alliance League programme has left clubs facing plenty of catching up approaching the second half of the season.

Former champions Buttershaw White Star have played just six of their 20 scheduled Premier Division fixtures and currently lie fifth with one defeat, although they have the best goal difference in the section.

The title race remains wide open, with Bolton Woods occupying top spot going into Christmas.

Tony Rowley’s side are a point clear of defending champions West Bowling, who have a game in hand and have yet to meet the leaders this campaign.

Relay Recruitment Rovers are three points further back in third spot and are the only team to have beaten Bowling so far, although the champions did gain revenge a fortnight later.

Rovers are also the only side to have beaten Bolton Woods in the league and so cannot be ruled out of winning the championship.

Keith Dack’s young Westwood Park team are also handily placed in fourth position after achieving promotion last season.

Park have only lost twice, both times to teams in the top four, and are the only side to have beaten White Star to show their title credentials.

At the foot of the table, Clayton Orient, Baildon Trinity Athletic and Oakenshaw will all be hoping for a change of fortune in the second half of the season.

Oakenshaw are currently propping up the rest, although they do have games in hand on the two teams immediately above them.

Unbeaten Mill Lane are running away with Division One and look odds on to make the step up at the end of the season if they continue their impressive form.
